Iki

H30 cm, W8.5 cm, D4 cm

Ash, steel

It all began with a gesture.
A line carved into the wood, inspired by Japanese calligraphy.
Something fleeting that the hand tried to hold on to.
The piece was built around this sign.
An ash stele, upright, sober, taut.
The steel connects and supports, without imposing.
Each element finds its place, in a discreet but assertive balance.
Iki celebrates the suspended moment, the beauty that cannot be seen but can be guessed at.
It is a work of silence, restraint and presence.
In a world saturated with images and noise, what is left of purity?
What room do we leave for what is simple, for what speaks without words?
