About
Contemporary sculptor exploring language and traces
Wood, metal, and stone sculptures, calligraphy, and immersive installations
My practice lies at the intersection of contemporary sculpture, writing, and memory. I create sculptures in solid wood (ash, walnut, oak, cherry, pear, chestnut), metal (raw steel or brushed stainless steel), stone, and paper, exploring the deep connections between material, language, transmission, and sensory experience. I strive to reveal the memory inscribed in each material: undulating grain, rings that tell the story of time, gestures left on calligraphic paper, traces that become signs and shapes.
My creative process unfolds along two complementary axes: sometimes I let myself be guided by the material itself—the wood becomes a partner, its textures and irregularities inspiring the organic form of the sculpture. Sometimes, the form is designed in advance and the material serves the desired expression, giving rise to sober, pure, and elegant lines, where each detail conveys both a gesture and a language.
I regularly exhibit in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and beyond, and I also design contemporary and participatory art installations. The public is invited to leave a mark, write a word, contribute a fragment of a story, or contribute to a collective narrative. These installations allow for the active involvement of the viewer, who becomes a co-author, and allow the work to evolve through human interaction.
Each piece I create is a journey: a passage between form and language, between the sculptural gesture and the memory it carries, between the intimate and the collective. My sculptures and installations seek to open up a space where matter tells a story, where signs circulate and dialogue, and where the poetry of life finds a place to express itself, be transmitted, and transformed.
