Géomorphose II
H26 cm, L22 cm, P2,5 cm
Walnut, ink, glass, paper
In this second piece in the Géomorphose series, the drawing no longer follows the rings of the wood, but is inspired by the color variations, stains and accidents visible on the walnut section - all marks left by time, climate, injuries and growth.
In the center, two hearts from which a network of intertwined lines emerge. The lines unfold like mycelia, villi, root systems or nerves. One thinks of an organic labyrinth, an intimate cartography where wood becomes living memory.
Mounted on a glass plate, the piece is suspended. It can be placed or hung on a wall, each position revealing a new reading, according to the light and the gaze.
Géomorphose II continues the exploration of non-verbal writing, in which the material tells its own stories, slowly and silently.
