Alluvion evokes what time deposits and transforms.

In this walnut sculpture, the grooves faithfully follow the natural waves of the wood, like traces left by an inner river. They reveal a fragment of buried life, inscribed in the material for years.

The gold mica powder deposited in these hollows acts like precious alluvium, a slow deposit that reveals as much as it enriches. Like sediments carried by water, the gold settles in the grooves and brings to the surface an ancient landscape, inscribed in the memory of the wood.

Sanded to the extreme, the surface invites caressing. The gesture becomes slow, attentive, almost meditative. The sculpture then presents itself as a landscape to be explored, a long time to be experienced, where the body dialogues with the silent memory of the material.
